Hi, I’m Precious, the heart behind Precious Faith Photography. I’m a Grand Rapids family photographer who believes the most meaningful photographs aren’t the perfectly posed ones—they’re the ones filled with genuine connection, laughter, and the little moments that often become our favorite memories.

Photography has been part of my life since I was a teenager, and what started as a creative hobby eventually grew into a business and a calling. Today, I have the joy of serving families throughout Grand Rapids and West Michigan, helping preserve the seasons of life that pass by far too quickly.

Meet My Little Family

Behind every session is my biggest support system—my husband, Brett, and our Cavapoo, Leo.

Brett is my best friend, biggest encourager, and the person who reminds me to dream a little bigger when I need it most. Whether he’s helping me scout locations, listening to my latest business ideas, or simply cheering me on after a busy weekend of sessions, I couldn’t do this without him.

Then there’s Leo, our sweet Cavapoo, who keeps life entertaining and makes every day a little brighter. If you’ve followed along for a while, you’ve probably seen him make a few appearances on social media.

Home is one of my favorite places to be, whether we’re planning our next adventure, spending time with family, or enjoying a slow evening together.

Why I Love Photographing Families

One of the questions I get asked most often is why I chose family photography.

The answer is simple.

I know how quickly life changes.

The little hands that reach for yours won’t stay little forever. The giggles, the bedtime snuggles, the way your toddler wraps their arms around your neck—those ordinary moments quietly become the memories you’ll treasure most.

That’s why I believe family photography is about so much more than creating beautiful images. It’s about preserving this season exactly as it is, so years from now you can look back and remember not just what life looked like, but what it felt like.

Those are the photographs I want to create for every family who steps in front of my camera.

My Photography Style

If you’ve spent any time looking through my portfolio, you’ve probably noticed that my style is relaxed, natural, and connection-focused.

You don’t have to worry about knowing how to pose or wondering if your kids will behave perfectly.

Some of my favorite photographs happen in the in-between moments—the laughter after a silly joke, the hugs that weren’t planned, the tiny hands reaching for Mom, or Dad swinging the kids around just because they asked one more time.

My goal isn’t perfection.

It’s authenticity.

Life in Grand Rapids

One of the things I love most about living in West Michigan is the incredible variety of beautiful places to photograph.

From peaceful Lake Michigan beaches to wooded trails, open fields, charming downtown streets, and cozy in-home sessions, there are so many wonderful locations that create timeless backdrops without taking the focus away from your family.

As a Grand Rapids family photographer, I love helping families choose locations that fit their personalities and tell their story naturally.
